After our trip to Machu Picchu and Cusco, we returned to Lima, the capital of Peru. We spend 4 nights in Lima.
Our first visit was to the Pucllana archeological site, which is located in Miraflores.
The Huaca Pucllana Site Museum, inaugurated in 1984 in Miraflores, Lima, showcases artifacts from the 25-meter-high adobe pyramid built around 500 AD by the Lima Culture. It preserves a ceremonial and administrative centre, later used by Wari and Ychsma cultures. The guided tour of ruins and excavated tombs was very interesting.

We visited the Magic water circuit park in the evening. The water park was quite busy, and the various fountains were very colourfully lit. Definitely worth a visit.

The following morning we first visited the Simon Bolivar Plaza. Next we visited the Lima Cathedral. After Lima Cathedral, we took the guided tour of the Basílica and Convent of San Francisco, which includes a tour of the catacombs. The tour was very interesting with explanations of the history of Lima. (unfortunately no photos allowed of the catacombs).

In the afternoon we visited the Larco Museum. The museum is very elaborate and narrates the history of Peru in great details.

The next morning we first visited the Exposition Park (near Art Museum of Lima). The park is elaborate and has lots of nice sculptures.

Next we visited the Art Museum of Lima, which is quite large and has a lot of interesting artefacts.

Later in the evening we took a walk along the Miraflores cost. The walk is very scenic with lovely views of the Pacific Ocean.

On our last day, we visited the Bridge of Sighs, the John F Kennedy Park and the Park of 7th June.

Overall, the visit to Lima was very nice, especially the museums depicting the history of Peru.
