Pettermann Island & Booth Island

Day 7 of the expedition was hectic. First we had a landing at Petermann Island. We climbed a small mountain, and had some amazing views of the glacial ice. We saw a lot of penguins as well as a gull with a chick.

Later in the afternoon, we took a zodiac cruise. We were very lucky to watch both whales and penguins hunting for Krill.

Our last landing of the day was at Port Charcot on Booth Island. The trek unto the top of the mountain was hectic and it took us about two hours of strenuous walking. But the views were totally worth it.

We ended the day with some awesome views of icy mountains and floating ice, with the sun providing some dramatic lighting.
