Africa is my favourite continent, considering the amazing wildlife, spectacular landscapes, and some of the most friendly people in the world.
Some of the best wildlife viewings are in Kruger National Park in South Africa, Masai Mara in Kenya, Serengeti in Tanzania, Okavango in Botswana and Etosha in Namibia. And some of the lovely landscapes are in Cape Town in South Africa, Sandwich harbour in Namibia and Victoria falls in Zambia.
We lived in Durban South Africa from 2008 to 2012, during this time we took the opportunity to explore various Southern African countries, including Botswana, Namibia, Zambia (Victoria Falls), Lesotho and all major parks in South Africa.
In 2015, we visited Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, followed by a visit the Ngorongoro crater and lastly to the Lake Manyara National Park.
In August 2016, we visited Kenya, first covering Lake Nakuru National Park, followed by Masai Mara National Park. We witness the wildebeest migration, which was absolutely magnificent.
In 2025 we did a 5 week trip to South Africa, covering Durban, Hluehlue Imflozi National Park, St. Lucia estuary, Kruger National Park, Cape Town, Namaqua National Park and Hermanus. South Africa is quite an amazing country with very friendly people, and amazing landscapes and magnificent wildlife sightings.

Two African countries still on my bucket list are Rwanda and Uganda, especially to watch the gorillas.
